Midnight Sun Ranch Phineas is our first foal of 2009 and our first foal by Vimto!
Phineas is a solid (in color and build!) black colt by Vimto out of Kiah. He is a rather adventurous fellow born Mother's Day, May 10 2009. His head is beautifully refined with tipped ears. Feather is already sprouted on his stout legs.
This guy is curious and a quick learner. His favorite activities include napping, checking the fences, exploring, licking things and watching the world.
Phineas' known bloodlines include The Lottery, The Old Coal Horse and Mojo on his sire's side. Kiah is from Irish descent.
Spring 2010:Phineas has been growing into a great little colt. His mane is falling thickly to both sides of his neck and he is resembling his sire in nearly every way. He's a very patient and thoughtful horse. The above photo is during a grooming session in which he decided he didn't want to be the black sheep of the herd (all of our other Gypsies are piebald) and got disguised as a pinto. It worked well until his sister Ziva started pulling off the white tufts of hair...
